At Studio Cornerstone, we believe architecture is not merely about creating structures — it is about crafting experiences. Every home should feel like a sanctuary. Every workspace should inspire its best thinking. Every gallery should move the soul.
Our philosophy is rooted in restraint. We strip away the unnecessary to reveal the essential. We choose materials not for their novelty but for their ability to age with grace. We design spaces not to impress at first glance, but to reveal new layers of beauty with every passing season.
This is what we mean by understated sophistication — the quiet confidence of a space that doesn't shout for attention but commands it through proportion, light, and materiality.

OUR JOURNEY
Studio Cornerstone Pvt. Ltd. was founded on 15th December 2014 by Ar. Sangya Sar and Er. Soumyakant Sar — a vision-based firm rooted in a passion for art, planning, and design that goes back to the late 90s.
Our early residential projects in South Delhi and Gurgaon established our signature approach — classy minimalism where every design carries a story of its existence, separating one space from another.
With projects spanning Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Meerut, we expanded into commercial and institutional spaces — including office interiors and the Powergrid Guest House in Tughlakabad.
Our turnkey execution division matured with landmark handovers — from the neo-ethnic Sharma's Residence in Noida to the European-styled Residency Greens in Gurgaon, each project executed end-to-end.
The Brigade Exotica project in Bangalore marked our expansion beyond North India, bringing our design philosophy to new cities and new contexts.
Today, Studio Cornerstone operates across 6+ cities with a portfolio spanning residences, offices, institutions, and landscaping — each one a testament to understated sophistication.
THE FOUNDERS
DIRECTOR — DESIGN
The creative pulse behind every Cornerstone project. An alumna of Pillomodi College of Architecture and a COA member, Sangya brings over a decade of experience in spatial storytelling. Her accolades include the 2008 Pedilite Award of Excellence for her thesis in Urban Design and a 2nd prize at NASA 2006 for Landscape Design, alongside various zonal design awards. Her work is characterised by a reverence for natural light, an obsession with material textures, and a belief that the best architecture disappears — leaving only the feeling of being exactly where you should be.
DIRECTOR — OPERATIONS
The engineering mind that turns vision into reality. An alumnus of C.V. Raman College of Engineering with executive MBA credentials from IIM Ahmedabad, Soumyakant brings experience from L&T Infotech and a rigorous approach to project management. He ensures every Cornerstone project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of build quality — overseeing execution from vendor coordination to quality assurance with a methodical precision that complements Sangya's creative instincts.
